help

Here’s the thing: Most of our big day gets collectively managed in real time by the neighborhood itself. But there is one important task that needs coordinated volunteers. Traffic calming and the need for cars to play second fiddle for the day is key so we place signage all around the neighborhood reminding motorists, cyclists, and those on foot to watch out for and take care of each other.

Want to help with putting them out? With a good number of sign deployment specialists, it's a quick and easy job per person — likely a couple of streets each installing maybe 6 or so signs total. Prior to the event you’ll pick up your signs and get a map of where they go. Then, on the day of, simply put them out before 11am and, the next day, gather them back up.

This task is best performed by those who live in the Oakhurst neighborhood or who are very familiar with our street network.
